How to play GTA 5 without sh**ty Rockstar launcher?!

Yea it pissed me off when they added their stupid launcher. Social club was fine as you didn’t need to wait for that to open first, but this launcher is ridiculous. Sometimes takes like 10 minutes just because the stupid launcher needs an update. I miss being able to get into the game fast... extra launchers being foisted upon us by all these companies just makes me not want to buy anything from them anymore. There’s too many of them and they need to learn that most people don’t want them.

Confused the two, its not 2K, it was Take Two. They own both labels.

i don't give two poops. i just want to play my legally payed for game. the rock star launcher says unable to update. rock star says uninstall and reinstall. I have done it 3 times. It worked just fine with out F$%#ing dumb launcher. if they want to force a launcher on you make sure it works first!

It does work though.

windows anti ransomware was blocking the update. it is working now

guys, add the .exe of GTA V to steam and it works flawlessly, the is named PlayGTAV.exe

so your saying to add NoGTAVLauncher.exe to your Grand Theft Auto 5 directory in your steam folder and rename your GTAV.exe to PlayGTAV.exe

Use this. https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gtavlauncherbypass Just drop it into your GTAV root folder and start the game with GTA5. exe. Can even place a shortcut onto your taskbar or desktop for quicker access. ScripthookV (not Community Scripthook V Dot Net) is required for this to work. It doesn't really bypass the launcher (login is still required and it does check just like when all we had was Social Club) but it does block updates.

GUYS I FOUND HOW TO STOP THE ROCKSTAR LAUNCHER! Just put playgta.exe in compaitbility mode for windows 8 and dont start it with adminsistrator

actually i think i already asked it BUT launch the game without steam?

I understand that gta needs the rockstar launcher, but once it is clarified that I am the rightful owner of the copy of the game, why not launch it directly from there?

Why is it so hard for everyone to understand that they want you to use their launchers to show you ads and ♥♥♥♥? The put in active measures to prevent you from starting the game without their launchers. Lots of games do this. Are you all new to gaming?
