What a sentence..

Sure, it's annoying, but doesn't really bother me personally.
Well, for me it actually starts bootin the game even faster. And it were there a long time ago, actually, but that was unupdated version.

GTA5 has always had a launcher.

What they've done now is basically add a store front to that launcher.

It was reported recently that GTA5 has sold almost 110 million copies & it's known it's sold extremely well on the PC, so if you're Rockstar/Take Two & know that GTA5 was that successful on PC and that you're eventually going to be putting out GTA6 on PC it makes financial sense to have an exclusive platform to sell games like GTA6 on so that Rockstar/Take Two doesn't have to share profits with other retailers like Steam, Amazon, etc. That's why they created their own store front. It's the same reason EA did it with Origin, it's why Ubisoft has UPlay, and so on.

Sir, your patience is endless.
And of course, all the filthy mouth-breathers are going to rush out and cry, "It's healthy competition!" without realizing that by denying other digital store fronts the ability to sell the game, there's no actual competition; just exclusivity, and yet another application that'll be eating up resources in the background, bloating occupied memory on the harddrives of hundreds of thousands of customers who only use it when they want to actually play a game, and will MAYBE bite the bullet to buy another game like RDR2, or the inevitable GTA 6, and nothing else.
But then again, why complain, when you can stop using it. I know, this ain't fun keeping all those launchers, but I'll do an exception for R*. That's why I am sticking up with the steam.
First, EA took their games off of Steam, but when the legacy games returned, nobody complained about Origin, even though you can't get their newer games anywhere else.
Then, Ubisoft came out with Uplay, and nobody complained because they at least had the wisdom to still sell their games on Steam as well as Uplay.
Then, Blizzard came out with Battle Net, and I didn't say a word because I don't use it for anything, but it's also another launcher that I don't want.
Then Epic came out with the EGS, and a lot of people have been complaining about EGS exclusives, and how the EGS app was effectively spyware.
Then Bethesda came out with their own launcher / storefront, and at first, people were upset that they weren't going to get to play Fallout 76 on Steam, and then it was ransomware to those who cancelled their pre-orders, refusing to uninstall the F76 demo and launcher because the demo key was no longer paid for.
Now Rockstar is getting into the launcher / digital storefront scheme, and you're going to sit there and tell people to not complain? Last I saw, singleplayer won't even load if you don't use the launcher. How is that even legal when I didn't buy the game from the RGS in the first place?

Like I said, if you don't comfortable, then the really best way to avoid it is simply delete the game. The game (and it's health software wise) need to bring joy to the people, not cause harm. If you feel harmed by new launcher, which is no turning back point now, then you can remove it and play something more joyful. A very simple solution which everyone can handle.

The only hardest part is to take decision there, but, you will figure that out.

It will. Running the game from Steam auto-logs-in to your Rockstar Account, same as always, and then starts the game up, so you never even see the launcher.

I love the new launcher I load into game in one minute versus ten.

This launcher is the best launcher I've ever seen, if you don't like it delete it.
Reiqen Sep 27, 2019 @ 10:24am
Same to me, 1.5 minutes versus 7 or 8.

I don't see the point, start from game launcher will force me to start from Steam which will start Rockstar again. Unnecessary loop. How do you guys manage to start it in 1.5 minutes???
