GTA 5 Missing msvcp140.dll gta 5

i cant start my GTA 5 because of this issue . can any one help me to fix this problem

Verify the files in steam.

It "should" be corrected if you go to the location you installed the new R* launcher -
Open the redistributables/vcred folder and rightclick both .exe's and install as admin.

If you have other issues, security/av preventing install, have already mucked that file/your OS... that's down another path of issue. Randomly grabbing that file and tossing it somewhere is not really advised til you've tried the proper/normal methods of installing it.

edit - per the 'last' post with the links - the mentioned location above -
program files / rockstar games / launcher / redistributables / vcred -
at the time of this post in 2019 -.-;;, contained both x86/x64 2015-2019.

I had loads of issues ''no runner'' because of missing msvcp140.dll such as audio/video even asked for refund because of no runner .
WIN 10 x64 - The best solution is :
Most important is to downloading Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 ver. 14.0.23026 then install
optional downloading Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 [2015-2019] ver. 14.28.29914 then install

I had this error but on Epic. I'm sure it's the same issue.
Many youtube videos and stupid forums later, I came to the solution.
I needed to install both x86 and x64 versions of the "MS Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015-19" package.

Download and install BOTH from here:
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
