Modding The XML File.
Hello a while ago i was searching youtube how to get a better fps on this game and there was many ways one of them editing this xml file, this xml file is from Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V Settings!!!
I changed the value of the shadowquality to 0 and the shadow completely disappeared and from this doing i saved about 10-15 FPS i think,so the question is,is it bannable?

Modding or editing any GTA V core files is BANNABLE in Online mode.

Editing my documents / rockstar games / gtav / settings.xml is safe.

Modifying settings.xml in my docs / rockstar games / gtav - is not bannable.

Hello again i just realized it's bannable.
No, it's not and it's not even considered as actual modding. It's just a config file (every game has them), which you can use to change options, very similar as in-game.

If you try to use wrong commands, it just gets reverted back to original when you launch the game.

It shows as undefined, because there's no option to change it to that value in-game, but it's still safe to use. If you want better FPS, there's probably more settings which can help you, like changing directx value.

If you look through the link I posted, Rockstars own command line system lets you disable some graphics options completely.

Both methods are safe, settings.xml, or commandline.txt.

Pure coincidence. You weren't banned for reporting someone once. You weren't banned for editing mydocs/rockstargames/gtav/settings.xml. I've a friend whose edit'd that for 2+ years.

I find it more disturbing that it took you what - 8 days - to get temp'd.
You need to look at everything else you did ingame, or out of game.
Including SP mods, mods for other games, things left in memory, etc.
Goodluck.

3rd party stuff, or SP mods for gtav are fine. Going online HOWEVER- while they are still installed or active - is NOT fine. GTAV doesn't tell the difference between SP mods or MP mods.
All mods are bad online.
