Is racing dead in GTA Online?

Like I've tried to buy some of the best cars in each racing class so I'm competitive, but then you search for a race and often times there's not a single one found. Then if you start a race, good luck even getting a few people to join. It baffles me that there's over 70,000 people in-game, and even taking into account quite a few of those are probably in single player, you'd think there would at least be enough people online and looking to race to fill a room.

Very dead, like why don't RockStar allow us to race against Computer-controlled AIs.

When first time you play GTA Online, you get to race against Lamar and his friend, and oh boy, they both are annoying just like players, bumping into you, causing you lose control, and so on...

But sorry, we're busy printing money at our office.

I'm in nodo and if I'm hosting a street race and use invite crew I usually get ppl joining fairly quick. They also do weekly racing playlists and other events, but the main thing I like about it is you get to race with people who race properly and fairly rather than noobs who join for a destruction derby.
