What's the best PC game controller for GTA 5?

Looking to buy a new controller for GTA 5. Which one should I get?

XBOX 360 or XBOX One controller is your best bet. Dualshock 4's better overall but it's a pain in the ass to get any DS controllers working on your PC

xbox 360 controllers are pretty cheap, many games natively support them so no need to fiddle with third party programs and such to get them working.

Also has dozens of third party options because of how old they are, including ones that DONT HAVE THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ASS DPAD WTF WERE THEY THINKING WITH THAT

Dualshock Controllers are the best imo, and contrary to what Scoots said, its very easy to get it working on your PC. just download DS4Windows and plug your Dualshock in

Xbox one controlers , Windows is microsoft, xbox is microsoft , they get along very nicely, and its a good controler.

Plug in and play on a lot of games. Can easily switch in game just by using the keyboard or controller.

I more meant it's a pain in the ass compared to the convenience of "Just plug in that ♥♥♥♥ and it works instantly" of an XBOX 360 controller

Depends if you're an Xbox guy or a Playstation guy. Both controllers works great. I prefer DS4 after 17 years of Playstation gaming. But an Xbox fan would of course say Xbox Controller.

It's personal preference really. I personally play with a DS3 controller because I think it's the perfect controller design. Contrary to what others say, it's extremely easy to use them on PC. Just download and install scp.toolkit and you are good to go. You can play every game with the controller as long as the game supports controllers of course. After you installed the drivers it's also just a matter of plug and play. Unless you are new to PC gaming and don't know how to download something, then maybe a true plug and play controller is better.
