Rockstar bullsh*tting us with the TINKLE stock mission
Right, so as you know in singleplayer, there is a mission involving a businessman whose car has broken down in Chumash and who wants you to take him to the Los Santos airport since he has to catch a flight to Liberty City. When you drop him off, he tells you to invest in Tinkle stock which is however located on BAWSAQ rather than LCN, i.e. the supposedly "multiplayer" stock market that is supposedly run by people in real life investing into it. Thing is, the moment he is dropped off and tells you and you open the stock market, the Tinkle stock has already jumped by 25%, so even if you invest immediately into it, the max profit you can make is 8% as it caps at 33% and that's when you should sell it as it starts dropping beyond that and back to its original value.

The ideal way to run this mission is to (first off finish the last main mission in SP) and then have all 3 characters invest all their money into the stock BEFORE you even drive to Chumash to pick the guy up (blue dot).

If the blue dot is already on your map, and you start investing it works for 1 character, but if you switch characters to have them invest and then return to the character at Chumash, he will have driven past the guy and the guy is no longer there (no blue dot).

So what you need to do is invest BEFORE even getting to the area. That's what I did by loading an earlier save....but once I completed it, the stock did not change at all!!!

I bought the stock at $5.something and right how it is sitting at $7.46 and trending -1.37%. Slept for 6 hours using one of my characters, rechecked the stock....same thing.

So the feeling I get, is that this shtick is limited to ONCE PER PLAYER ID. I.e. if you do this mission on one save, and then reload an earlier save and try doing it again, it no longer works.

Which means as a new player, you need to telepathically be informed about the existence of this mission before even encountering it, to be able to make a profit off tinkle.

F you, Rockstar.

that's when you load an autosave that got created when you dropped him off and invest there. This way you still get those 30%
