Is it Safe To Use Discord In GTA:O?

I got banned for using discord once, I refreshed my pc and I had NOTHING installed other than steam, gta 5, discord ,ts3 and csgo. And still got banned while I was talking with a friend on discord...

You can use it safely.

Whatever it was, it wasn't Discord (or whatever) that got them banned.

I got banned once, bcuz im using mod, for 1 Month, after i got desban, i played without any program, and i join at gta now and i got banned permanently!! i cant understand it

It is. But don't use the plug-in that enables overlay in-game, as that modifies game files and it therefor bannable.

im on discord pretty much 100% of the time while playing gta online. so are my friends. no bans here.

:edit: not using any overlay, just basic discord

It's hard to actually tell because even if everyone is being truthful about what they believe their bans were for, rockstar doesn't actually tell you what you're banned for when you do get banned.

I would just avoid using any programs that enable ingame overlays.

I use Discord (without the overlay) and have not been banned. I also use x360ce for my controller support, and OBS (Open Broadcast Software) for streaming and have not been banned. People had been concerned about these in the past, so I contacted Rockstar support directly about the latter two and received this response:

Many people gripe about Rockstar support, but I've had good luck in them answering my questions directly. It's important to proof read what you write before sending a ticket to make yourself clear, and also be respectful.

Man i got banned one time, after i got desbanned, i started at the zero, Rockstar makes me create a new account, and i got banned without mods!?!
