Banned. How do I remove cheats?
Hey. I got banned. No, I'm not going to be complaining that it was a false ban. It was technically a correct ban. I've been playing GTAV Singleplayer using a mod menu for fun, because when the game is finished it gets kind of boring. But I had no idea how to remove the mods. So I've been in GTAO with (what I'm assuming is a non-working) mod menu lately. Despite not using it, I was banned... I've lost my character, money, etc. That really stinks, but I want to prevent it from happening again. Does anyone have any idea how to remove mods? I've tried verifying my game cache twice and I'm not going to reinstall the game.

You remove them the same way you put them. Check your GTA V Folder and delete the suspicious files. If you are unsure what to delete basically delete all your low size files and then verify the game cache again.

I remember putting in 2 folders but can't remember what they were called :/ I think removing all the low size files is a bit too risky though, although I guess if I verify game cache again it should be fine. Thanks, I'll try it out sometime.

tough luck, it shouldn't take you 30 days to download the game again.

enjoy your ban.
YOu should have plenty of time to reinstall the game while you are enjoying your ban.

Rightclick gtav in steam, properties, local files tab, browse local files.
( View file extensions if needed )
Compare your folder/files to the screenshot - delete anything that is NOT in the screenshot.
( Ignore date, time, type, size - leave commandline.txt IF you use it ) -----
Then - delete the highlighted files. Yes, you heard me - delete them. (steam version only)
And then ===> VERIFY CACHE.
