Should I get a Cargobob for CEO work, or Cocaine Business?
Which one would you say is worth more?

Cargobob if you do the import/export, its the best investment for it as it saves you from all or most damage when importing and exporting.

Pretty michs it saves you 2k per imports and like 5k or 10k per export, it pays itself on the long run, until this update, I considered the cargobob to be a wate of money.

i heard it likes to randomly drop cars? like the magnet is buggy?
also, can it pick up something bigger/heavier like a bugstar supply van?

Also, is it true that the Jetsam Cargobob has a slightly longer hook?

I made 6M so far with exporting cars, using the Cargobob for every single time I had to move a car. Only once I dropped the car and even that time I wasnt sure if was me , a bug or other player shooting the rope.

As for what it can lift, Im pretty sure it can lift heavier vehicles but not too heavy, because the heavier the vehicle is, the ahrder it is to handle the cargobob as its weight shifts constantly to the point you might crash; or you wont even be able to pull the vehicle beyond 10 feet.

If your last question was to use it for CEO Crates, it dosent work, people commented that at the start of the CEO update and were very disapointed. This time around the gobob does work nad even have cutscenes when reaching the waypoint with it, implying this isnt a bugged mechanic but an intended one by R*.

I dont know about it, I purchased the regular Cargobob becuase it was cheaper, you would need to do a little research to know if its true or not. I belive someone suggested it was sightly faster but idk.

I've noticed the Cargobob dropping cars at random sometimes but I think it might have had something to do with NPC's shooting the hook cables. I need to test it out.

Lol at anyone who thinks Cargobob for import is worth a dime

The Cargobob is a piece ♥♥♥♥♥ from my experience, let me clarify it,

I don't know about random un-hooking because I never saw it myself but the Cargobob is complete trash and impractical. Don't buy it for import/export.

First of all the already trashy Pegasus mechanism is still there, you will need to pickup one every once in a while because a single homing missile will make it unable to fly,

The Cargobob is slower than a standard range car, the helicopter will be slowed down even more when a car is hooked

As I said an homing missile will make it smoke and unable to fly, un-hooking your car, dealing a ton of damage to it and depending how it drops, it could explode because the cars are not armored.

And trust me there are plenty of scumbags that throw homing missiles at any aircraft on sight. And you can't just avoid them all the time.

Instead of all this, pratice driving, grab the car yourself, go as fast as possible and you will avoid damage from npcs and will make it earlier than the helicopter.

While I agree the cargobob makes you an easy target on public session, on a solo public session saves you a LOT of money. Sure driving might be faster, but by how import/expor works, you will get npcs spawning, damaging your vehicle and lowering your profit. To me, the extra time and investment of 200 bucks instead of 2k-3K on damage for import and lose like other 3K on export; is worth it.

It also comes in handy for the bomb import, were your required to drive around for 2 minutes before head to the warehouse; while if using a cargobob, youcan deliver the vehicle right away.

There are opinions but I genuinely think the cargobob saves me some time and effort, specially flying an straight line to the warehouse, rather than drive all around Los Santos, and mostly into NPCs who always seem to make a turn when your nearby and **** you up.

If you own a CEO office, the buzzard is much more versatile than the cargobob. It has speed, agility, guns, and can be spawned for free from the CEO vehicles list (assuming you own it). By comparison, the cargobob can lift cars, and can do a pretty good impression of a flying refrigerator.

yeah, it seems the buzzard is quite popular with ceo. i guess i'll get 1 and save the cargobob for later.
cheers.

Yeah the cargobob had a bug in the hook a while back, they fixed the bug and now it appears to be back when its actually useful to use the heli. We did a series of tests to see what could have triggered it a long time ago. Everything from wiggling around, to it dropping over a certain depth of water in attempts to drop cars off on the "avi" island. Or sometimes it would just randomly snap off when the pilot was flying perfectly. I can vouch that the bug has returned. Because I was excited about using them during the import/export missions so I didnt have to drive on snow. Turns out it randomly disconnecting, caused more damage to the car that i ever could on the ground so, Imma ride the pine on this one until they get it fixed, if they every do.
Nothing. Jan 1, 2017 @ 10:03am
Yeah, I would stay away from the cargobob until I can be sure the hook won't randomly drop whatever I'm carrying is fixed, and I have a feeling that will probably be never. I initally tried to use a cargobob to retrieve a sourced vehicle, and while I was flying it away, the damn thing randomly unhooked itself over the Alamo sea and got destroyed, so yeah, my opinions of the cargobob aren't very high.

Yeah, I'd argue if you really want a cargobob, go the helipad on top of that one hospital, or at LSIA until it spawns one for you. It's usually quite common.
Masuo15 Jan 1, 2017 @ 12:56pm
I assumed you already had a buzzard as you were asking for Cargobob or Cocaine, DEFINITELLY get a Buzzard. IS the #1 thing to get as soon as you become a CEO.

You get to spawn next ot you an aerial vehicle with weapons. Perfect to move around for work and do the popular Vip Works: Headhunt and Sightseer. Quick ways to make aroud 20K in few minutes. Way faster and more consistent than doing almost any Heist Setup for sure.
