Graphics Card VRAM Showing as 1024 MB instead of 4096 MB
Hello, So i currently have a GTX 970 installed 4 GB (4096 MB), when i get onto GTA, it says I have 1024 MB of ram which only allows me to play on 1440 x 900 Resolution, I definitely have 4 GB of ram, as i checked in pc info, Cpu-z and Geforce. For some reason GTA only recognises 1 GB of it, any solutions / fixes? Would be grateful :D

I'd also google DDU and safemode uninstall your gpu drivers - reinstall them.
And open my docs / rockstar games / gtav - delete settings.xml
1. Already re installed drivers and game
2. My intergrated gpu is only 0.5 Gb
3. It detects the card through direct x

actually a heads up , you dont have a full 4096, the 970s are only 3.5g of vram -and there was many legal issues with this ect.-
check to make sure your power is being properly ran into your card, also check to make sure there isnt any ranom limiters , such as antispyware and ect. and make sure windows is actually reconizing the card under your system , or make sure your monitor isnt the one causing it, example is my monitor has 144hz, which can mess with different things under the games settings such as

forza 3 i cannot lock my framerate to 60hz, unless i lock my monitor first to 60,
144hz gives me the lock choices of 144,72,and 34
120hz gives me 120, 45, 32
60hz gives me 60.

UNLESS windows advanced options is set on a restriction under display options... then i get..
59hz
or some stupid sideways resolution with multiple odd refreshrates
-use blurbusters if need be for monitor resolution-

1440x900 you doin't need 4gb lol at that resolution 1g =b is just about right if you can go higher like 1080p than it will go past the 1gb mark.

There is 4096 MB available VRAM. I'm on 144hz, but that shouldn't make a difference, in fact GTA says I only have 1023 MB, everything is working fine, except GTA. All my other games recognise the 4096 MB VRAM including Battlefield, FIFA etc... I suppose GTA doesn't like me.

And yes with 1023 MB, the highest resolution you can have is 1440 x 900, well in my case anyway, any higher resolution needs more VRAM

I've heard some very negative things about GTA recently, I heard that many updates have lead to people being falsely accused of cheating etc as well... Well, I guess no GTA for me ;(

alot of the false claims can be found true or not via steam, it logs in game acievements including online leveling. no there are some games that you gotta be careful with programs running while playing, i think it was 7 days to die, my friend was using a shader and for some dumb reason the anti cheat kicked him lol
