3 players from the same IP address
Hello.
Before I start the long conversation with Rockstar support, maybe you guys already know the solution.
Me, my wife and my brother, we all have our own Steam PC versions of GTA V.
So, there are 3 separate Steam accounts, 3 copies of GTA V installed on 3 separate PC's.
We all can run the game, connect to GTA Online, walk around, etc.
And here comes the problem:
I am able to do a friend only session with my brother just fine, but as soon as we invite any third friend from outside, one of us "LEAVES" the session. If my brother is in session with a friend from outside, i can't even join their session.
Also, we cant start missions this way.
I did some search around, but similar problems seem to be unsolved or different.

Telling you again, that we are all able to connect at same time, there are no problems with speed, etc. It must be some kind of a protection.

get liquidsky computer and you wont have that issue. You cannot host more than 1 session/mission from same IP.
IF you have extra $$ you can sign up for LiquidSky
Basically its a cloud computer that can run any game and its really cheap.
Its the only way unless you can manage to maybe try tunning one PC under a VPN/Proxy.
Then host mission/sessions from that PC, but internet might suck.

Honestly LiquidSky is pretty dope considering you can access your computer from anywhere with internet access and still play any game you own. And its 1GB internet can DL GTA V in 30 mins easy.
Because R* decided to use p2p system to play Online thats the reason why its not working.
\
Just google LiquidSky and youll get all the info you need. I can show some gameplay even if you are interested.

Thanks for answer, but that doesn't sound serious. I have paid money for entertainment and fun, but the only thing I received was frustration...

those are your options friend
either host from another IP or try setting up a VPN or PROXY to change your IP on 1 PC to connect to.
Not much else you can do.
Cheers

Hosting from another IP doesn't help.
We asked our friend (from another IP) to invite me and my brother to a session.
Only one of us can join his session.
I consider asking for a refund. I don't want a game which I am unable to play together with my family members.

sorry to hear :{ It should work, R* uses P2P for Online so could be many reasons.
Your last try is have your friend try join your session and make sure its NOT closed session and choose invite only.
Cheers

I also dont think youll be able to get refund since you owned to game over 2 weeks and played more than 2 hours :{ Good Luck Hope you can figure something out.

I've actually ran into this issue too. It's downside of p2p connecting, I guess. But it's really frustrating.

So, there are no free solutions? Configuring router another way? Selecting any ports somewhere, etc?

use a free vpn like "softether" (or rent a vps and build one by yourself) to get different "public ip" for each of the others, BETTER choose a vpn host of your own country, but for me i've used jp/ko ip addresses and never got banned. USE WITH CAUTION if you choose to use ip addresses of different countries.

i think yakuza lord was trying to tell you
you or your brother need to try using a vpn - then when you join your friend it will be 3 different ip addresses

its because you're not friends with that other guy your brother is friends with. you have to be friends with eachother to play in a friends only session. Hope it works

I have done enough reading, to understand that GTA V can't be configured to use unique ports for each client (very stupid indeed), so a port forwarding will not help at all in our case.
As long as we make session or play missions from our local network (me, my wife and brother), everything works, but we are unable to add anyone outside our LAN, because external IP is the same for all 3 of us. R* server want to "talk to us" using the same ports.
So, my new question is - how to add a PC from outside (another ISP), to our local network and make everything look like we have 4 PC's in one LAN?

You need to go through an online VPN or proxy so that the IP is from the VPN outside of your network rather than you all sharing the same IP from your modem as a gateway

It's not that hard to setup
