How the hell do you find the cars for CEO Import/Export?

I just wasted millions of dollars on this dumb CEO stuff, and I cant even complete a single car export. When you source a vehicle, it gives you a picture. Great. How in the world am I suppossed to figure out where it is from a single picture?

How do you somehow magically find out where these cars are?

I sourced two cars today and I could not find either one.
One was at the beach. I received a picture of the statue at Vespucci Beach. I thought "ok, no problem". I scoured every inch of that beach, the parking lots and every alley near the beach for at least ten to 15 minutes, while my friend did the same in a seperate vehicle.
No car in site.
So what's the deal? Are we missing something here? Is the car inside a garage or something? I don't get it. I will try more "sourcing" and see what happens.

The picture actually says where the place is, you just check the map to see wich area it is. Then from there you try to locate the place and angle the shoot was taken AND you will find the car there. Try to identify something specific and particular on the picture and find that.

Now if the game considers a good while has passed since you arrived but havent been able to find it, it would show on the mini map the zone the care is in, and if you cant find it after a while, it will show you exactly the location of the car.

Also even if you cant locate the exact angle from the picture, you just need to approach to it for the car to show on the mini map; it uses similar rules to one of the missions for the crates but without the noises from those crates.

There are other missions, if you cant deal with that one, just join another session and search for another car.

I know the map like the back of my hand. It's got noting to do with it. The cars were not there.

Thanks for the information, but I can assure you, the car was not at the spot in the picture. Neither the minimap nor the big map showed any kind a "zone" where the car could be, and the map certainly did not show "exactly" the location of the car.
I watched a couple videos of people doing a sourcing mission. In each video, there was a clear blue icon of the car shown on the minimap. This did not show up on my minimap either time, so I'm not sure wth is going on here.

Call Lester and use locate car, it will show you where the car on picture is!!!! Think out of the box people.

I only had this happen once after getting over 60 cars. If the car is not on the map and the message did not include the location, your mission got bugged and looking for other ways to find it may not be worth the time. Just report it to rockstar and if it happens too frequent, you are unlucky and try not to play this game until they fix it. I hope calling Lester would solve every instance of this though.

I tried this. Lester led me to a military truck instead of the sports car I was after. I'm assuming the car didn't even exist after what I've read. Bugged to all hell I assume also.

Probably bug dont know, always works for me if i call Lester. But i call him when there is no adress, location with picture.

Yeah. Its just bugged. This update is unstable and unfinished. Gonna have to wait on this one.

Its still a bit buggy I think, twice now I've gone for a car but it hasn't spawned on the map. Not sure if it eventually times you out but I just switched sessions and started another collection. Done the picture one a couple of times but never had trouble with it though.

Since the update my assistant has delevoped this really nasty habit of putting my personal vehicle on the roof of the CEO building when I ask for it on my way out too. That ones fun.....
