Help with GTA V Launch

Hi guys, I don't find this problem of mine on the internet but something similar.
Everything was going great, mods installed successfully, Etc.

Here's how my problem starts - When I click play on GTA V is launches, After that it shows me Social Club (Logs Me In but it also says that it didn't close well so it might have a few weird
behaviors), Click normal then the Social Club box disappears. It makes a sound of a notification (without showing me anything) while it's telling me that the game is running but it's not appearing.

Can anyone help me find a solution or help with this problem? Thanks!

Sorry no, not these steps, I'm sort of hijacking the thread as I didn't want to clutter with a new one. I showed him a starter guide from google that I used and it got me going just fine. Is the modding procedure that much different when it's the standalone Social Club version? Does he need to do anything differently?

Adding mods to gtav steam/R* version - are pretty much identical.
Removing is close. For R* - I'd verify with BOTH playgtav, and gtavlauncher.

You should just teamviewer your friend's pc and do it yourself.

I have tried all the steps and even reached out to Rockstar and had them in chat for over 4 hours. Everything was working fine until I got a new SSD and started off with a fresh copy of windows 10, my system worked flawlessly in all games.

Specs: Z170X Gigabyte G1 Gaming 7 mobo, 2x8GB G.Skill Trident(no xmp activated), i7 6700k (no oc), 2x EVGA SC 980 ti Reference in SLI (no oc), 1TB mushkin SSD(OS location & GTAv), 120gb samsung evo SSD, 1TB WD Blue HDD, 500GB WD Blue HDD.

The problem is whenever I change a graphical setting in advanced settings or that has to do with MSAA or TXAA with SLI enabled it will ether freeze screen or black screen and then give me the social club retry/safemode window. If I turn off SLI it will allow me to change the settings but will eventually crash in the same manner after 40-80 minutes of game play. I haven't tested this in story mode just online. Chrome and subprocess (social club) both choking on kernelbase.dll ? (not that.. that specific file is at fault).. Statements about low virtual memory? Did you adjust your pagefile to something specific or is it system controlled - and there is sufficient space on ssd? Fussing around with it causes problems for alot of users.

You did infact clean/reinstall/update your gpu drivers after the new windows install/updates?
You are clean booting windows?

As for crashing when changing settings - is it ONLY msaa/txaa/advanced? Or any settings?
Permissions/security apps, background apps like geforce experience, other programs with overlays, yadayada has in some instances caused gtav to behave strange. Eliminate as many variables/extra junk as possible.

Yes I was using Win 10 Pro before as well, Yeah I set up my page file on my SSD for PUBG @ 4096/4096 on the SSD only, there is about 600GB of space open. Yes it was a clean boot of Windows. I put the PC in safe mode to uninstall and install the graphic drivers twice. I have checked the SSD with WD tool, no errors. Yes I have done as much as far as getting rid of background apps, I followed the step to disable all processes except Windows processes via regedit I believe? I have also verified the game cache about 30 times. I have follow your steps and other guides to fix the issue, I have even done some of those youtube videos to increase win 10 performance for gaming. I will try and set the page file back to normal and see if it fixes anything. I also did get here via the other post you mentioned in your comment and followed it as well. The only other thing than the pagefile issue you mentioned is perhaps it was a botched install of windows, I did have a few USB peripherals plugged in when I did the install. Yeah anything to do with AA or extended shadows in particular in the advanced settings area or anything that will need the game to reset. I have also used sfc scan to make sure there are no errors with my windows install, I can provide the MSInfo and other stuff if you need. Thank you for the speedy reply! The plus side to all of this is I sure know how to trouble shoot bull crap problems in windows now..

I thought I should update this, I changed my page file on the drive that GTAV is located on back to system managed and it has pretty much resolved all issues, i played for 40 mins and was able to change all kinds of settings and play without crashing. I wont know for sure until the family gets home and we get out game on this evening, will update before I crash out. Thanks again for your help!!

@ilantoubifree- Remove "run as admin" from the gta5, and gtavlauncher.exe's in the gtav folder.
(usually, setting both steam, and gta5 exe's as admin causes problems)
On most systems, it is not necessary - simply run steam as admin and be done.

As for the tab'n/crashing - did you msconfig/disable all other non-ms startup services/apps?
Is your windows pagefile/virtual ram set specifically or windows controlled?

You running afterburner, rtss, fraps, or any other overlay software? Stop/close/end, try again.
There are directions in the link right above to purge most startup services/apps to rule them out.

Did you, or did you not get here via the link I posted? (as it has quite a few other fixes/tests)

Step 5 in post 1 of this thread tell you how... there is no guarantee there is anything useful there though - just the hope that it points to a non-gtav file, or gives a different error. You've posted 2 different logs now - showing different errors. Meaning, you have more then a single problem - going to have to methodically rule things out.

What did you do before posting the 2nd log?
