Help with GTA V Launch
Hi guys, I don't find this problem of mine on the internet but something similar.
Everything was going great, mods installed successfully, Etc.

Here's how my problem starts - When I click play on GTA V is launches, After that it shows me Social Club (Logs Me In but it also says that it didn't close well so it might have a few weird
behaviors), Click normal then the Social Club box disappears. It makes a sound of a notification (without showing me anything) while it's telling me that the game is running but it's not appearing.

Can anyone help me find a solution or help with this problem? Thanks!

Hello again, dude. I can't solve my problem. It's SCUI loading error again. No crashes, just infinite loading. I tried all of your list hundred times.. I'm thinking about Win 8.1 or 7 downgrade.

gtav.exe and gtavlauncher.exe are running as admin (in their properties).

I said to run steam as admin - not those 2 .exe's. I also see your logs still say D:\documents - and that is known to cause issues as well on certain setups.

You can check with regedit --- and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
And look in the right pane for Personal - what does that say?
It should say %USERPROFILE%\Documents
You can forcibly change it here as a test.

Unless, you've fundamentally changed how your OS handles the my documents...
If you've done all of my instructions - you would have tested upon a new windows user with admin rights, which would have generated a new c:\users\user\documents...

And.. which list 100x? The first post in this thread with 4 sections?

That was another advice, it helped some people. I ran Steam as admin.

I changed user name (but user folder not renamed by system, only username), then changed it back, 'cause it doesn't works. Or i must create new user?

I did it all many times, not literally 100x.

My problem is solved!! I had lowest level of UAC (user accounts control). When I set it in "medium", GTA V launched with no errors.

Maybe it helps someone.

Open gtav folder. (rightclick gtav in steam - properties - local files - browse local files.)
Enable viewing of file extensions. (google if you don't know how)
Delete anything that is NOT a folder AND is NOT a .RPF file.
VERIFY CACHE. (rightclick gtav in steam, properties, local files, verify integrity)
Try gtav.

2-Open my documents - RENAME rockstar games to rockstar games-old
(if using local saves and not cloud - your saves are here / gtav / profiles)
Open program files - delete rockstar games / social club folder.
Open program files x86 - delete rockstar games / social club folder.
Open steam/steamapps/common/gtav/installers - rightclick socialclubsetup - run as admin.
(it should install with NO errors/popups)
Exit steam, rightclick steam, run steam as admin.
Try gtav.

3-Open steam/steamapps/common/gtav/_commonredist/vcredist/2012-
Run both .exe's - and uninstall. Run both again and install.
Open steam/steamapps/common/gtav/_commonredist/directx/jun2010
Run dxsetup - restart pc.

(For directx - you can also try-----Delete all d3d*.* files from windows/system32 and windows/syswow64. Some will not/cannot be deleted - skip'm)
Reinstall directx with websetup - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

I would also grab DDU, use it in safemode to uninstall your gpu drivers. Install them again clean.

Try gtav.

4-Still crashing? Google adwcleaner from toolslib and run it to scan/clean your pc.
There are some known programs social club currently has issues with. There could be others.
(hidemyip, astril, safeIPs, and lavasoft softwares - you can also uninstall these)
Try gtav.
(If you have extra firewall/antivirus/security software - temp sleep/disable - it may interfere.)

5-(Yes - there is NO guarantee the above instructions will fix the problem) - The purpose of the above steps is to fix common problems with gtav folder, social club, permissions.
If it still crashes/has issues-- post all 3.
1-Open my docs / rockstar games / gtav / launcher.log - copy it all and post it here.
2-Open my docs / rockstar games / socialclub_launcher.log - copy it all and post it here.
3-Then start/run (winkey+R) - eventvwr.msc - custom views - admin events - sort by timestamp.
Find/copy/post the gtav related crash reports (sometimes more than 1 per crash)
(some errors have their own links on my profile)

Not sure the eventvwr reports you posted are tied to your gtav problem.
To be sure - run gtav - crash it out again.
Open eventvwr.msc again - sort by timestamp and look at the newest ones.

The immediate fixes on google for that error are... yea..
One of the guides - for those eventvwr reports - not necessarily a GTAV fix [shauncassells.wordpress.com]
And another - YMMV [www.clintpriest.com]
