With that one sentence, you have actually admitted to modding the game and trying (even if not intended) to going online with a trainer (even if not successfull). So actually this thread is pointless and you got banned by breaking the EULA. Good Luck next time.
kk thx bye
enjoy your ban
I was reading online how to play GTA V online on my own so followed the instructions to create an online invite only session so switched from single player to online and got an 'unknown social club' error. I figured the trainer may be causing the issue as i didn't think it would work online (well i know it doesn't) so i just closed GTA V and the trainer then booted up GTA V again on its own and played.
If i am banned for that reason then fair enough as they can argue i may have had intentions of cheating but my gripe is simply that i did not cheat nor did i wish too because i was not able to even connect online so surely they can see that if they investigate?
I agree that they should have zero tolerance to actual cheaters online (one of the reasons i like to play on my own at the start is because i know the damage cheaters can have have on us newbies) and if i had cheated or tried to cheat then i accept the ban but not when i didn't do either, it seems unfair.
To add the Infinity system does not inject the codes to multiplayer on any game. I know this as i have left it running before with ME: Andromeda by mistake and i get killed, run out of ammo and get ganked.
Alas looks like i will just have to accept it albeit a little unfair.
If it happens to a lot of people at the same time they can make a lot of noise about it and get it over turned. When it happens randomly to odd people rockstar knows it can just ignore you.
There is a good chance after you wait your ban out and go back online you will be instantly permabanned. (If you broke/triggerd more then one of their rules they will stack them up and deal the punishment out when you next can log in)
Rockstar do not care about their customers.
Lots of people here will try to troll you and try get a negitive reaction from you.
GL
i don't think this was innocent even at your standards.
Yeah i admit i did but unknowingly so, i was ignorant to it and wasn't thinking about it. However, i was not able to get online whilst it was open thus when i attempted to go online it failed to connect and that is what my gripe is with. Even if i was going online with intentions of trying to cheat i could not do so and don't wish to do so.
I have played Warcraft for 10+ years and Star Wars for 3+ years and never once wanted to cheat on those and they are much harder than GTA V to get into as a new player so if i wanted to cheat to get into GTA V i think i would have tried it before on other games.
As stated though if i am banned for having the trainer active when i tried to go online then fair enough, i just wish they would say that in their response so i know that was what caused the issue in the first place and i won't let it happen when my ban expires. I am not even that bothered about the character because the completion of around 9 mission jobs, 4 store hold ups, 250k $ and a mediocre modded car is not much of a loss to be fair.
It's just annoying more than anything as i am currently sat on mobile broadband with 40gig monthly usage and i had to download the game over 2 months lol
They gave you a temp ban, be glad.
In the future you need to remove all single player mods from directory and don't run any trainers/cheat engine/etc. while online.
He is a bot. He doesn't read "I got banned" kind of post, he just copy/ paste his text and he would keeping doing it even when GTA5 online services will be down. X)
Additionally the trainer did not crash the game, Social Club just sprang up an 'unknown error' when i connected. I guessed it was the trainer that did it so i closed both the game and the trainer and restarted the game on its own and it connected without any issue.
The only editing i have ever done is using a single player editor to change in game money, cars and statistics.
I can link the sites where i got them but unsure if i am allowed on these forums.
However the edited files are located in c\users\name\documents\rockstar... and usually named SGTA50015 or something similar but as far as i am aware those particular files are not used by the multiplayer.
The only other thing i have ever done is used my own music by placing MP3's in one of the social club folders for use with Self Radio but i thought this was allowed.
I have tried a few more times raising tickets but they respond with the same thing every time and also very quickly which suggests they don't even read the ticket at all.
Steam cannot do anything as they told me even if they issued a new game it would be the same CD key which means the only thing i can do is get a new Steam account and buy the game again.
It just seems such overkill for something i legit had no intention of ever doing and is really killing my enjoyment of their game. However, as stated if it was me being a muppet and running the trainer whilst attempting to connect online i can understand their decision i just wish they would say that is what it was rather than just pointing at the EULA and being vague.
It's a program from a community called WeMod (Google).
I'll take your advice though, i admit if it was that program that caused it is my own stupid fault for not thinking before attempting to play online.
