People that complain that it doesn't have explosive rounds clearly haven't tried the 7.62 machine guns. THERE ARE X6 OF THEM! With 3 on each wing it's easy to hit with them and It takes down planes in seconds. The explosive bullets of the rogue are for ground targets, the Nokota is predominantly a dogfighter so doesn't need them, but just use missiles instead of machine guns if you really want to take out people on the ground.
The missiles do not need to reload unlike the other planes so you can spam all day and the turning circle is tighter than any other plane meaning that you always have the advantage in a dogfight against someone with an equal flying ability. Strangely, It is the same speed as the hydra and can take 3 homing missiles or explosive sniper rounds before being destroyed.
The Rogue is cheaper to buy, but when both are fully upgraded the Nokota is actually around 1 million cheaper than the Rogue. The Nokota is hands down the best anti-plane plane in the game, but I would also have either a rogue or a hydra in my hangar for everything that needs shooting that isn't in the air if you are not skilled at timing no-lock on rockets.
And tho it does lack explosive rounds, In it's place is 6 .50 cals which can shred almost any other plane in the sky with a solid squirt.
But both planes roles are different. The rogue was intended to be a ground attack aircraft, while the Rustler is a pure bred Fighter.
The missiles tho have got to be the worst in the game. They have almost no course correction. Which I guess where the balancing comes in with having an unlimited salvo.
All and All if you want a FIGHTER, Go with the Rustler. if you want a MULTI-PURPOSE aircraft, Get the Rogue.
Has anyone fought against the Pyro/Seabreeze in a rustler tho? Can it outturn both?
Yea, the Nokota lifts up faster and lands easier compared to the Rogue and on top of that has a much easier time staying in the air at low speeds. Rogue is overrated, I trashed a lot of Pyro and Motolov players in the new dogfight mode with the Nokota, basically only another Nokota can kill me since I can spin around all day long against the other planes.
and wow, I'm laughing at the people trying to say it's a bad fighter. Guess we know who the bad pilots are.
In the new dogfight mode you can't even pick Rogue.
