MAP AND MENU LAG?!
i'm having a serious problem here. The menu and map lag and drop fps like hell. Found some sollution online that turning on the Vsync will help. Tried it but the Vsync kills fps alot. Anyone have the same problem and any sollution for this?

happens if u play in windowed sometimes

It has to do with the FPS skyrocketing. Use v-sync or deal with it.

if there is no solution i think i prefer vsync. It is better drop 5-7 fps sometimes when it is crowded rather than lag like hell in menu and map.

After trying a bunch of these different fixes they only ever worked temporarily and you would have to re-do it every time you opened the menu. I have found something that works for me.On windows 10 I had to open task manager expand GTAV then right click on the other GTAV that shows up then go to show details. Once in this screen right click on GTAV.exe and set priority to realtime.

Thanks for another method. I've solved it permanently by turn on v-sync

Disabled Nvidia TXAA and lag disappeared for me.
Well, I got the same problems, solved by v-sync. The game is running even better. Using that since arena war came out.

VSync is not a framelimiter anyhow, and should not be used if that's your goal. Only use it if you experience severe screen tearing. For a framerate limiting you want something that does actually limit your hardware's workflow like RTSS.

Seconded, this fixed my menu stutter as well. Also a g-sync user, so another option for those where enabling vsync isn't acceptable.

edit: nevermind I lied, it did drastically reduce said stutter though, to the point where you won't notice if you're playing with a controller.

Finally i found the FIX for this problem. Is the "Power Management mode" in the Nvidia control panel. Set it to "Prefer Maximum Performance". after i did this the gta menu fps was finally stable at 120fps without the vsync. After you do this you can turn off the vsync.
