Faster to Alt+F4
Seirously I was pubbing trying to make a few bucks with some peeps and someone quits and the mission is failed due to that. Fine. But then I get stuck in this screen.

Like 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minutes. At that point it's faster to Alt+F4 and just restart the game....

no need for alt f4
open ressourcemonitor from windows (tab out, click start enter ressourmonitor)
suspend the gta4.exe for 10 sec > enjoy your increased loading time

Just use a salt-water solution on your motherboard.

Or a baseball bat solution. Well I would be that would put me out a grand or so for a whole new pc so can't do that!

But in all seriousness. The game does eventually load it was just this one incident where it was loading for infinity and I always trusted it. Probably some problem with R* servers. Usually thats it.

Set the priority to real-time when it does that.

Yes. Make sure to set it back to normal after it loads, though.

Game was frozen. There was no option besides alt+f4
