you unlock weapons after completing missions
and you may have picked up from ground the stickies (some weapons spawn on some places)
Seriously though, I think you get weapons from doing his arms trafficking missions. Maybe you got them from one of those.
Speaking of the trafficking missions, something really confusing happens on completion: One mission "unlocked" the "pistol," and the next "unlocked" the "micro-SMG." "Unlocked" is parenthetical becasue those weapons already were unlocked, and not only that, were fully customized in the store.
Even if you have all weapons unlocked and modded to the max it will still give you a message saying "unlocked pistol" "unlocked micro-SMG" ect after the ground trafficing missions
There's one thing ya gotta deal with in this game that you didn't have to in GTA IV—you have three playable characters whose inventories constantly need updating with an eye on customization. Properties, weapons, cars…one thing's for sure: boredom isn't an issue.
