Bunker Resupply Mission Bug

I found a bug on a resupply run where it requires you to recover a railgun for the Merryweather HQ,

If I take the railgun and try to enter my APC vehicle with the weapon, as soon as my character hand touches the latch door, the game freezes and crashes. At first i thought it was just a random crash. I rebooted the game and got the exact same mission and did the exact same thing up to the point where I try to enter the APC with the stolen railgun and exact same freeze occurred.

Has this occurred to anyone, perhaps even in a normal vehicle? Unless it's exclusively the railgun and APC. - I have done the Humane Lab resupply where you also recover the railgun, and used the APC on that mission, but there were no issues in entering on those runs.

if anything, players be wary of using APC after getting the railway gun on Merryweather HQ bunker resupply mission.

I have done the Humane railgun resupply with my armored Kuruma, and I had no problems. I have yet to try the Merryweather HQ resupply. I usually buy stuff.

sorry i can't help with the specific problem but i can offer an alternative way to complete that one. bring a buzzard/savage and kill most enemies at the hq by firing rockets, get railgun, fly away.

Used a buzzard to successfully finish a rail gun supply mission, had no issues whatsoever. Maybe it could be the fact that I was on console too, which I rarely rarely RARELY ever get game freezing issues or crashes.

Yeah, I just gonna have take a kuruma or buzzard to avoid the crash. I just like using the APC since I dress in camo sometimes

Is the APC worth it for solo manning? Like can you use the tank missile launcher remotely or does it need to have a second person to do that?

I personally like it. It needs a gunner, but if you stop the APC as a driver and hold 'H' you switch seats in 3 seconds and can begin firing stationary and press 'H' again to switch back.

You are fairly safe from explosions (takes like 8 rpgs or more - forgot) and can take a dive assault from a hydra. One time I spawned into a session with a 3 crew members flying jets with my APC beside me. One happen to be right at location so I made a mad dash to my APC, and just as I barely entered the driver seat was when it started raining explosive hydra rounds. The hydra began to fly off over me as I switch to gunner and I managed to sink in that one shot on him and downed him. After that I simply drove on with flames on top of my tank (from explosive rounds, not my APC combusting) and it looked damn badass. My only mistake was not saving a replay of it.
