DO you get banned for spending modded money?

I received 3.8 Mil, its been 1 week and it has not been removed. I want to spend it but I heard of players getting banned because it is considered cheating as they are willingly spending hacked money. Right now that money is mixed with my ceo and heist money

If you read rockstar support they do not accept individual requests to remove modded money, all you get is a bot response to their article

you will never get banned for spending modded money, their own article says as much.

Lets say you have $50 and a modder gave you 1,000,000 and you spent the 1,000,000 you would be left with -999,950, when they do a sweep if you spent more than what you had legit before. so you keep what you buy.

If you spend the money, you can keep whatever you buy. However much you spend, you will end up OWING R*. I was given $8mill modded GTA$ but R* only took 3 mill. Used the modded $, but then they did the sweep, I lost 3 mill I worked for. Stung a bit because I lost the 3 mill I grinded for, but I came up on 5 mill.

So no, you don't get banned but if you continue to get modded $, it will raise a flag on your account and they can look into it by checking your records or even watching you play live. Just buy stuff lol

Ok thanks for the advice, I looked over the rockstar forums and all people say over there is that you will get banned for spending. The answers between the steam and rockstar forums seem to contradict but your explanation makes more logical sense

According to them you will not be banned and you have nothing to do they will correct themselves, in reality, they don't really know what they are doing, and they don't really known how to remove spended money, so you can be banned (because they can ban you for no reason anyway, so why not this)

Question: Regarding the account balance adjustments, what if I already spent some or all of the money I was given by cheaters? Or what if I transferred it to a second temporary character?

Answer: We have taken all of these factors into account when making account balance adjustments. If you already spent some or all of the modded money you were given, you may find that your account balance after adjustment is lower than it was before you received the counterfeit money. This is correct as you will be allowed to keep the items you bought.

If your getting them without asking and ur spending it they will also removed from your balance(you also can get on negative), rockstar sometimes checks the modded money and removes them.You don't have really to report the cheaters.You will not get banned.Check the pinned thread.
Btw if u spend that 3.4mil you will prbly get on negative balance,you can wait also a month.
