Any and all mods are prone to getting you banned on GTA Online.

Its only a texture mod which replaces clothing though it does not affect anything else.

Well, for some reason they ban for any game modifications, it appears. Frankly, I didn't test normal texture mods online, but I can assume that they will ban for those too as they directly modify game files.

As the respected poster above said. Any and ALL mods online will result in a ban, regardless of their intent.

It simply won't let you go online, referring to altered game version.

It is not that simple, making walls invisble could be also a texture mod, thus any texture (not supported) modiffications in online games are forbiden.

dont do it
is it worth the risk for something only you can see

likely yes, because you would need to modify a .rpf file to achieve it, since the file hash would inevitably change, you would likely recieve a ban, as that's how the anti-cheat works. it detects the MD5 hash of each individual file, you're game reports these periodically to R* servers

A SweetFX mod won't get you banned.

Any modifications to textures will get you probably flagged in online.

Use sweetFX or reshade.me does do not replace textures, using one of them myself on all games I play.
