In the end it doesnt really matter seriously except other players might come after you but being passive lowers it down + nothing special happens unless some skiddies come around.
It doesnt affect amount you get from it so basically it doesnt matter correct me if i am wrong.
You can turn passive on and make much higher profit on heists.
And it goes down if you care or if it really matters.
Actually, your mental state increases for killing players that aren't red, killing cops and pedestrians, blowing up a bunch of vehicles, just being a total criminal. You can actually decrease it faster by doing gang attacks, missions or death matches, maybe races too, that is I believe confirmed to help, people have posted saying it did. Think about it, enemy NPCs are completely red dots, so if you keep killing the "red dots," your mental state should be going down faster than just idling by or such. Also I heard that joining a new session, invite only OR single player then rejoins online can immediately wipe the mental state. I just read that online on a forum post that was made 3 years ago, so it may be a glitch that could've been patched. You can try testing it out , if you like.
Going full red doesnt matter if youre on passive mode correct if i am wrong.
