Every f*cking Screenshot is black
Hello dear community,

I have a very annoying problem. And it is the following: Every time I want to make a screenshot, via the button preset by Steam [F12], every time only a completely black image is generated.

I have tried it also times with the [print] button, the cached image then inserted into Windows Paint and see that it is synonymous only a completely black image.

Also with the mobile camera available in GTA5 I have made pictures, are synonymous at the end all completely black.

Anyone know any advice or help me to help someone how I can fix this problem. That would be nice.

My PC Configuration:

- CPU: Intel Core i5 4570 @ 3.20GHz
- RAM: 16GB Dual Channel DDR3
- Motherboard: ASUS B85-PRO GAMER (SOCKET 1150)
- Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 (1024MB)
Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 (1024MB)
AMD CrossFireX (disable)
- Memory: Samsung SSD 850 EVO (465GB)
- Screen: LG M237WDP (1920x1080@60Hz)

Have you tried taking screenshots whilst in windowed mode?

Thank you for your quick response.

I play the game under the graphics settings in full screen mode.

And I have two screens connected to my PC, but I play the game only on the LG screen and the others I always disable. Then, simply switch off the expanded screen under the AMD CCC setting.

Try taking a screenshot in windowed mode. You should also try completely unplugging the other screen from your computer.

Okey, I have try it. But sorry, i try it and this doesnt't fix the problem.

I have unplug my second screen, start gta5, take screenshots and its still the same black screenshot.

In windows mode its the same problem. From more than 50 pictures i made ther are a few, one or two Screenshots on which something is pictured. But the small luck rate brings nothing because at the decisive moment it is always always a black screenshot.

Is that problem rather to steam or to gta5?

Is the problem exclusive to GTA V or does it happen in other games too?

So until now I only have this in gta 5.

In gta 4 or eflc, for comparison, since I can make screenshots without end. And it is always to see on the picture what it should show.

I don't know what the fix is, however I used to have this problem on my old computer and it was only on GTA V. When I got my new computer I didn't have the problems anymore. Perhaps it's dealing with your hardware?

Your GPU is pretty old, could you try DDUing the video drivers and installing the latest drivers for your GPU and OS?

I used to run an HD 5870 and I had this issue as well.

Try getting FRAPS, a video capturing software that is available for free. It has a screenshot feature and it saves them in the installation directory.

That worked for me when I had an AMD card. I recently switched to a GTX 970 and the problem went away.

Hope that helps.
shut. up. Jan 15, 2017 @ 3:35pm
Have you tried turning it off and on?

If the problem is really the graphics cards, it would be a pity

Because up to now I can play without problems every game with 60fps and more, including gta5

But unfortunately no new drivers are provided for the graphics card, and I already have the new drivers on it.

Is it then a bug, which is only with the graphics card is related to gta5 or vice versa?
Reddy Jan 15, 2017 @ 4:11pm
I don't think it's your video card, although it could be.

To be safe and to make sure, you should DDU your drivers and reinstall them.

When asking for help, it's usually best to try all possible solutions. Please don't overlook this.
