Banned because of memory cleaner
Hi guys, two days ago when I was playing gtaol, I found my computer memory be used up. So I clicked the cleaning button.
At midnight, I got an email from rockstar and told me I have be banned for 30 days.
How this auto ban worked? I didn't use any of mods, cheaters, or illegal money...
what should I do for my account?

Serve out your ban, and stop using programs that modify system memory. Most of them are scams and do little or nothing to help, and in fact many actually consume resources instead.

If you need more RAM, then buy more.

This...basically.

That's the best you can do...other than contacting Rockstar Games Support, and explaining the whole situation to them, really.

Sorry about your ban, good luck.

How do you figure that? Editing or deleting memory addresses would trigger almost *any* modern anti-cheat.

I really don't believe you. Erasing data that programs are activly using results in crashes so you are mis-informed or your memory cleaner is poorly programmed.

This game is resource intensive for sure,

between running windows and GTA 5 I was hitting as much as 6.8GB used of my 16GB Ram

CPU usage hitting as high as 70% on my i7

3.7GB of vram used on my GTX 1070.

I use Advanced System care and it comes with a widget to free ram space, i've had it on 2 PCs over 5 years and have always used ram cleaning mid game online before I upgraded and i've never gotten a ban. Used it on my new PC too, but with 16gb I just do it before I launch the game. With the ram clean it clears 1.2-3GB of space and it really made a difference in FPS.
Intresting to hear people being banned for clearing their RAM, never heard about that before.
Why would cleaning ram trigger a ban? You're not injecting anything into the game or modifying the files. Worst case senario it should trigger the game to crash.

Do you like the Adware?

Haven't had any pop ups or adware in the 5 years of using it. There's a single ad at the bottom of the system care menu but that's it. When you're installing it, read. It will give you a bundle download otherwise which may result in adware but I wouldn't know since I know what I'm downloading. Also use iobit uninstaller and have tried iobit driver booster no issues what so ever but I decided against driver booster since it's safer to manually update drivers.

I would highly recommend it to anyone.
It greatly increases system performance and keeps it 'clean'
