Am I safe if I deposit modded money?
So a modder dropped some modded money on my head a while back and I spent most of it but I still have 100k. I have been keeping 100k in my wallet and not in my bank so I don't get banned because I was told if you don't deposit the money you won't get banned. I am getting tired of losing my legit money from dying and other things because it is cutting into my profit since it sin't in my bank. Is it safe to deposit this after a while, it is becoming a hassle and I don't wanna get banned :/
EDIT: Just FYI, I didn't ask for it.

No, I hope you will be banned forever for not knowing what word "modder" means.
Anyway, why do you come here asking such questions when you ALREADY spent cheated money lol? Ban is justified.

Deposit it and report it to Rockstar, they'll tell you you don't have to report modded money which they will "clean" out of your account periodically when they figure it out.

But this way you'll have proof you reported it and are blameless.

edit: Blameless except for the fact you spent a bunch of it already and never reported it at all... expect a ban at some point, probably deserved...

you wont get banned, just deposit it and go on with your life.

If you deposited more than about 500,000 you might be screwed, if u spent it, mostly likely screwed. Next time they drop money watch your cash counter, leave session before it hits 300,000.

Considering Rockstar says that nothing will happen to you if you got money dropped on you by a cheater without you willingly asking for it the worst they will do is removing it.

I received a money drop recently, i banked the money, i went on playing the game and no ban happened. Same is true to everybody else who received money from a cheater since that is one of the most common things to happen and i bet the majority of players experienced that at least once.

When Rockstar removes modded money from your account, they take it from your bank account, whether or not you've kept it on hand. It'd be pretty silly if they banned you for banking it, but the Dindu Nuffins will claim anything to hide their cheating/racist/sexist/harassing/exploiting ways.

Just make sure you don't spend it, keep at least that amount in the bank.

Taken from several distionaries:
1.Someone who mods (or modifies) video games. Though it is more grammatically accurate to use the word modifier, "modder" refers exclusively to the modification of video games.

2.Modders are people who deliberately modify games to their advantage or for fun.

3.Person in any game who uses cheats when those cheats are not available without changing/tampering/modifying/hacking the system or computer.

4.Someone who cheats at video games such as Halo 2 by altering the game code in some way because he is too much of a noob to be able to get kills any other way and consequently has no penis.

5.computing slang a person who modifies a piece of hardware or software

6.One who modifies a mass-manufactured object or software.

What didn't you understand?

I'd be willing to bet in 48 hours he'll be just fine as long as it wasn't him doing the modding.

You should be fine. As long as you weren't asking for the money. Rockstar will likely just remove the money from your account if they do anything.
