Aim assist/aimbot now allowed on PC sessions?

I've noticed a crazy number of obvious aimbots (both low and high ranks) on public sessions and I was wondering if they removed the aim assist/aimbot restriction from PC sessions for controller users.

Or it allowed or just a mod?

if you have free aim from singleplayer settings then nobody else will have autoaim unless it's a hack. This only works with free mode anyway

"Free aim assisted" is probably what you're experiencing.

Use "FREE AIM" in Single player controller options, join a online game. if you ever join a friends game and get the " This session uses a different targeting system than yours" probably best not joining as it will set your aim system back to Assisted Aim until you manually revert it.

Oh is that why there comes a popup after finishing the mission, that aim prefference has been set back to your own choice?... /s

I think "free aim assisted" puts you in a "free aim" session but gives you an assist when you use a controller

Low or high player's rank not garantee that player is hard player or not. And a lot of players have a lot of experience in shooters.

Yea, its a cheat. I watched some dude doing it....his cheat only tried to target players though, even all the way across the map.

Aim assist was always allowed on PC, you just get in different lobbies considering your settings.

Free Aim - Assist will you put on the Free Aim lobby, but you only get Assist with controller, but sure as hell doesn't aim at the head.

I use Free Aim - Assist since I play with a controller, but nowadays I just grab KB/M when I'm in a shooting, since it's way easier to line headshots and clear entire squads in seconds.

I always wondered which lobbies have more players on PC, those who use auto-aim, or those with free-aim. I'd figure the latter, since mouse and keyboard is a pretty predominant thing about this platform.
