Controls are indeed problematic with keyboard, since space is handbrake instead of fire control. It's literally the only "aircraft" I use the mouse for.

Is not impossible. You can use shift and Ctrl.

Or keep using numpad and redefine Num0 for shooting.

There's an option that allows you to drive with your mouse if you hold down left click.

I think it's awful but if you find it hard to drive try and see if that helps.

Set your "shift up/shift down" flight keys/Wheelie & stoppie buttons to the two side buttons on your mouse. Use right mouse click for firing weapons. With this setup, you can fire and control flight with just your mouse and steer with the WASD keys easily.

Fly the Oppressor with the WASD keys, not mouse control. The mouse is solely for firing missiles and controlling glide elevation with the two hard buttons on the side of your mouse, which most gaming mice have. Works like a dream for me, more effective than a controller as I can aim better.

Bonus of this is that you have wheelie/stoppie controls at your fingertips too, all on the mouse.

i'm almost 100% sure that the mission for getting the bike at a discount i was able to use space for missiles, could be wrong about that.

i should play around with keybindings so i don't have to take a hand off the keyboard, and then get on the mouse to fire. i use wasd and 4568 on numpad while flying

It's shooting as you fly that causes the problem for me. Love it and have no trouble using it otherwise.
