As far as i know any configuration in the game folder/directory will result to a ban when going in online.
Just stay away from mods if you're planning on spending most of your time playing online in gtav.
Ok thanks
Yes you can use them online, but you will be put into a seperate server, you wont be able to play with anyone who doesnt have those mods installed though, so if you have a friend with the exact same mods as you, you can play, i have done it before and not got banned.
I don't believe anything what you say here.
OP, you shouldn't believe it either.
Fact is:
Modified files and additional files in your game installation folder will most likely get you banned, sooner or later.
I'm pretty sure that the anti-cheat measures don't scan for specific mods, or different versions of mods to be able to sort between "good" mods and "bad" mods, and filter players into different sessions accordingly.
Keep your game clean and play online with what you have got from the developers.

And you can look it up on the Rockstar website.
Ok thanks for that
