No steering wheel support... really?

For most people GTA is about making money and/or screwing with other people's money. For me, a big part of the fun is the driving and/or flying and so I got myself a Logitech G29, not only for GTA but it was big part of why I bought it and now I found out that there is no official support for steering wheels. Right, should've informed myself about that sooner but now that I am stuck with it my question is:

If I use a software to change the inputs from the steering wheel to be handled like they're coming from lets say an xbox controller, would that be a bannable modification?

That would not be a bannable modification because it is controls just like gamepad configuration in-game BTW I feel your pain

Damn this feels like it was ages ago xD

I got it to work... and with a lot of timeinvestment I managed to get my settings to just about right, but it still felt bad. Compared to games like Project Cars, where the wheel feels like you're actually driving with the rumbling and the wheel making it harder for you to turn depending on the ground you're driving on, the speed and how sharp you turn.

I pray that GTA VI will have integrated steering wheel support :<
