Kill a murdering psychopath with nothing to lose or kill a family man who's been trying to get away from the life of crime...
Fair point, but Michael's ability sucks compared to Trevor's. Plus Michael's family kinda sucks.
Trevor would not have taken this deal. He would absolutely have gone to prison and attempted to escape. Not only that he would have focused on freeing Michael even if it meant death.
One person here is a traitor. Some people refer to him as the family man. A bond was broken so that another bond could be made, and it's obvious that Michael didn't even pay attention to the family he has. Trevor actually shows up and starts doing Michael's job for him as a father. How messed up is that? Trevor is 100% like hell no that's not happening to my family member you are coming with me and we are correcting this right now Michael.
It was never Michael's intention to get anyone else involved. If you paid attention, the whole scheme with Dave Norton was simply to fake Michael's own death so he could just run away from the group and start a new life with his family. Meanwhile Trevor and Brad could have esecaped and just continued on with their life of crime.
But in the end police overwhelmed them, Norton shot Brad instead of Michael by accident while Trevor survived by himself.
Yes, Michael is also an ass for lying even when Trevor found out and went to the grave but he'd rather do that than reveal his scheme with Norton. It's also why Michael has such a sad level of self-esteem, when his family relationship still got ruined anyway even after moving to Los Santos.
IMO I prefer to look from a morality standpoint. As far as this concerns, Trevor literally kills and torments people who arent at fault and does stuff without reason at times. An absolute psychopath. Kidnapping a random celebrity for nothing then killing him by train (the canon choice btw), Just barging into an innocent man's house, using threats as usual, then later killing him and his wife in their own home.
Later going to the strip club and killing the innocent owner of the place just so he can selfishly take over. Or how about in the very intro when he just bangs another guy's chick then later kills the guy in the most painful fashion. Trevor never shows a single shred of regret or empathy in anything he does and likely will never change.
There's nothing to justfiy about all these, it's just plain depraved immoral actions. Such acts even Michael and Franklin normally wouldnt do.
Meanwhile Michael at least, wanted to try to be better, to stay away from all the bad stuff for the good of his family. He knew his actions were wrong. Ultimately, he did turn over a new leaf at the end of the game by 'retiring' and reconciling with his loved ones.
Also if you want to talk about not being loyal, Trevor is no better, lying to Wade about his cousin. It can even be said he's a little bias in who he really treats as a friend (Michael, Franklin), while others he treat more as slaves to do his bidding. Trevor would lie to Ron probably, in the same way if he had to about something.
Well lastly, to look at a very general standpoint, all three protagonsits deserved to die anyway. The amount of havoc and mass killings they've caused is more than enough to justify a death sentence if caught and charged.
ok, you lost me there. I get you have your favourites, but try to see things from a non-biased perspective. NONE of the characters are perfect. Trevor being by far the least.
Rockstar paints Trevor as the one that is all about family, but passively. It's subtle but right there just under the surface the whole time.
