Grand Theft Auto V Legacy

Grand Theft Auto V Legacy

How is this game's singleplayer compared to GTA IV?
I'm not really interested in multiplayer. I'm asking because I had great fun with GTA Vice City and San Andreas (best of the series in my opinion). I just loved the freedom and all the things you could do. But for some reason I didn't like GTA IV as much. In fact, it was the only game that I finished once to see the story and never replayed. So I was wondering if the story/gameplay here is more akin to IV or to the previous ones. Thanks!

I personally liked GTA 4s story more then GTA 5s story. It had a different feeling to it.GTA 5 feels overly exaggerated on most things.Characters are alright.Gunplay somewhat weird to me as opposed to the more balanced weapons from GTA 4 (Here you get guns with differences that make others obsolete unlike GTA 4s guns do).Vehicles are quite different.I don´t regret buying it,but I think in retrospect GTA 4 is better...I just keep coming back here for online mode.
GTA V single player is the best! You might want to install a few mods to make the SP experience even better.

Must have SP mods that should of been in the game,

1) Mission Builder - Allows you to make custom missions and/or play other peoples missions.

2) Online Missions "in SP" - A wonderful person has taken the time and rebuilt most online missions with the Mission Builder mod to work in SP.

3) Car Dealer - Allows you to sell your stolen cars at Simeons Car Dealership.

4) MBS Rob Mod - This mod allows you to rob stores and peds.

The SP is really great. It is kind of short but there are plenty of side missions if you will and activities to try. It feels way more alive than the GTA V online world; there are random events everywhere, people walking dogs and exercising, cars broken down on the road, etc.
The only problem is the storyline is too short but since there are 3 characters it's ok. When I finished I realised I did some things in the "wrong order" but it's still a good storyline. It could have been better, some things could have had an extra follow up mission and stuff like that but it's good. I think Nico's story in GTA 4 is more deeper than the story of the guys in GTA 5 but they are 3 so it makes up for it.
