Please Run GTA V using PlayGTAV.exe

Hi everyone, I have recently run Kaspersky and now this game keep telling me this even though I bought it on steam. I also installed somemod so I think that's the problem. I have look on Google but the solution they have is for crack version. Any ideals guys? Except for reinstall game.

There is no playgtav.exe for the steam version of gtav. "Chances are" - it is the mods. Though some background applications can cause the same error to appear - you could try force closing/stopping everything. You can also use the below instructions to remove the mods / clean the folder without a reinstall. Verify it works vanilla - then re-mod it if you want.

Also - straight running gta5.exe from a shortcut can generate this error.

Rightclick gtav in steam, properties, local files tab, browse local files.
( View file extensions if needed )
Compare your folder/files to the screenshot - DELETE anything that is NOT in the screenshot.
( Ignore date, time, type, size - leave commandline.txt IF you use it ) -----
THEN! - DELETE the highlighted files. Yes, you heard me - delete them. (steam version only)
And THEN!!!! ===> VERIFY CACHE. - Yes, you do it NOW - its mandatory.
(rightclick gtav in steam, properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache)
