I keep getting $200,000 from Rockstar

Anyone know why? I've only gone online about 3 times in the past couple of weeks but every single time I did I recieved $200,000. Is there some sort of special event going on?

Some people are getting these. One theory is that it's a reward for buying shark cards.

I've had a notification twice in the last couple of months stating that £250k had been added to my account. Never actually got the money though.......

the first time you get the message you actually have to confirm it via "okay", after that its just kind of stuck in your loading screen notifications no "okay" to hit. you dont really get the money but you are shown the message. at least in my case

Yeah, I dunno, I've never bought cards, and haven't gotten any sort of bonus. Maybe they throw a dart at a list of names and whoever they hit gets the bonus. /shrug

A friend got as well. He has never bought shark cards, but been very active daily the last weeks closing on a month.

He also got a discount on the 1 mill car for some reason. Think it was 50%

it's not a reward for buying shark cards. a youtube vid said that most of the people who got money were poeple that were banned previously.

No Sharkcars. No ban. 4 times $250 000 since last Christmas till last week.

I've gotten it 3 times already, 250k each time, no bans, no Shark Cards.

Maybe it's to reward daily logins, since it happens maybe once a few weeks. Or maybe for play time.

Oh, I see. Yes, I heard about that; apparently you can get banned if others give you 'dirty' money (like modded-in money); quite risky, if you think about it. But if it's coming from Rockstar itsself, then the fault (if any) would be on them.

I've gotten tens of millions from hackers and never been banned. Those that do usually get banned because they get busted asking.

But yeah I just wanted to know why. A bit off is all.
