Why is it so expensive to upgrade a car at bennys?
It because you can customise the car how ever you like once you've upgraded it?

No idea tbh. Customizing gives you access to more cosmetics? Which cost just as much if you want to do everything

I was going to upgrade a sabre turbo because at one point it cost 300k. Now it costs 500k...

There's really not point unless you want to add more look to the car. If you're using it for racing there is no difference in performance from the custom versus the stock

I just want to add fancy paint. Can I do that at other places?

Except ... there is.
In fact, upgrading the sabre turbo to the sabre turbo custom makes it the fastest muscle car in the game.

But right now you can just grind ceo missions or collection time. Becoming a ceo is expensive though.

If you see Benny's stock, most of the cars are super cheap so upgrading them costs alot and they become special new cars. Sadly, even in Benny's that is supose to be a pure street ride thing you have now Nero and stuff like that which don't really belong there so the price of those new cars is like a normal expensive car but the upgrade is still expensive.

The good thing is, Nero custom isn't worth it.

Because in theory you are adding on customizations that are detailing your car to be a car that was made by you. It makes sense to cost that much money, in real life with modding cars it costs thousands of dollars to do that to a certain car. I'm glad it costs a lot of money, so not every person is driving one on the streets.
