Is Import/Export worth it?
I just got up to 5 mil, I have a cocaine factory and a Large CEO wharehouse. Is this the next step in making money? I do enjoy drving cars but will this really make me that much money? Also I heard there was a new DLC coming up next month, should I just wait for that?
TLDR: the title says it all.

It makes very steady, quite enjoyable to earn, money, and has the capability to make even more if you have friends. I'd recommend it. It quickly pays for itself. Very quickly. And it's fun besides that.

But cargobob in open lobbies is dangerously bugged. Remember that.

"worth it" is entirely subjective. I enjoyed it for a bit but then quickly grew bored of doing it. Timers and crap between sales was just too irritating when I could just run pac standard finale without a cooldown.
Selling 25 crates for $660k in your large warehouse is well worth it but having to wait 2 minutes for another sale is a headache so I went after few source few vehicles and sell as well.

What about money wise? More or less than CEO or other methods? Assuming that I'm always playing solo except maybe for final sales.

In short, no. It's a heavy grind.

If doing nothing else to supplement income and we're talking purely car sales. If you source High end cars only you're looking at about 240k a little over every hour roughly (assuming absolutely no damage to the cars when acquiring or selling them) adjust accordingly for the occasional unavoidable mishap. Again though this is assuming you are selling top end cars right as the cooldown is up. Your mileage may vary on your acquisition of top end cars.

Medium Warehouses make very good money and that's how I bought my Yacht. I would do it more than my Biker Businesses if it wasn't a horrible, boring, soul-crushing experience laced with existential dread and a distinct lack of a compelling reason to continue living.

But the money was good

Please remember that you have to pay for those crates first... so it's not 660k pure profit. You also spend a lot of ammo and armor and snacks if you choose to fight npcs too...

It's fast and easy and works well solo - and mixed up with all other ways to play the game.

I play odd and random hours, if I have a short session I'll start with first selling a npc modded Sandking XL for 18K. Then I sell a top range car from the ceo vehicle warehouse. Or source a car - do a vip job, souce another, depends on time.

Mixing the above up with heisting, helping friends mc/ceo, races, missions and anything else. Works well for me.
It is totally worth it.You get to customize hot cars. Then you get to drive em.

Plus you can sell a car every 20 mins compared to doing cargo missions for 4 hours in slowass trucks so you can get enough profit. And you wouldn't have to worry about crashing your plane when making the final sell.

Did I mention you can drive hot cars?

Edit:Seeing news on the new DLC I think you should save some money. The new toys look cool.

Haven't study numbers, but:

I used to be in a crew of russian players that play legit-ish (imagine it is true). So all they did was money grind with selling cars. Cargo jobs were on a second place for income and pacific was on the third.

Again, I do not know the difference in total income, but the fact that all of them did car sells prior to cargo jobs made me believe it was worth the effort.

Wrong. If you are playing empty session using buzzard helicopter, health and ammo lost is not something you will cry about it. Seriously, since when ammo and health is waste of money? Don't say anything you will be regretting for. Also paying the small tax to collect miscellanous packages to bring back to your warehouse is also not a waste of money. Do the math, you certainly haven't.
