GTA V installation onto (D:) drive, but social club on (C:) problem
Hello, I have recently purchased GTA V through steam and directed it to be downloaded to my (D:) drive. Upon completion, I try to play the game. As soon as I do so, I get a message saying, "The Social Club failed to load due to an incomplete installation (code 9). Please exit the game and re-install the latest version of the Social Club: https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/204075496" as my Social Club is for some reason downloaded to my (C:) drive.

I have attempted to uninstall and re-install social club, but Social Club does not appear on my list of programs to uninstall. I have tried to simply delete the folder Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club on my (C:) drive. When I do this and boot up the game, it simply re-downloads and installs onto my (C:) drive. I am unable to fit this large game onto my (C:) drive, so this is not an option. Is there a way to specifically download and install Social Club onto my (D:) drive? Or how else can I make this game playable?

Thank you for your time.

couldn't say for sure but the guide says to use this version of social club launcher installer.
http://patches.rockstargames.com/prod/socialclub/Social%20Club%20Latest%20Setup.exe
you could try that even if you can't uninstall it.

This seems to update my Social Club, but when I attempt to play the game I get the same error message.

The game isn't unplayable just because Social Club and GTA V are on different drives.

Uninstall Social Club and Grand Theft Auto V. Make space for Grand Theft Auto V. You will need about 70GiB-80GiB. Install Grand Theft Auto V on the drive which you have enough space.

Hi guys, Not sure if this has been mentioned already.... I have a copy of GTA5 via steam and i had problems with a Code 9 Error with the social club. I tried to go to the .exe folder in gta 5 folder and run the game as administrator but a message came up saying to launch the game through steam....

To run any game installed on steam as an administrator follow these steps...
1) exit steam
2) right click on the steam shortcut and 'run as administrator'
3) then open GTA 5 through steam game library as normal, this will automatically run the game as administrator

This fixed the code 9 error I was getting.

Basic knowledge I know, but I didn't actually know how to do this at the time. I hope this helps anyone with the same problem i had. ( Note: my OS is Windows 10)

THIS FIXED IT FOR ME :D
