Have never been able to get this to run.
Bought in a bundle. One of the games ran for a few hours but then stopped running after a Steam client update push. Requested a refund, but it is still under review after three days. Be careful what you buy, these guys are ripoff artists that sell worthless crap.

Transport Giant ran for a time, but won't run any longer, IG and HG both have never run.

Steam cloud often used to mess with the game. I'd say to re-install but since you've asked for refund already nevermind.

I disable Steam cloud for all games. Aside from this, I have found that on Win 7 and Win 8 machines (have not tried win10 yet) that this fix works for most older games i have had trouble running on modern 64-bit systems. Worth a try since you already own the games. Let us know if this works. I originally used it to fix a flickering issue but it also solves other problems like screen resolution, compatability, etc.

Flickering fix!!!

I run an Nvidia graphics card and had the same annoying screen flickers constantly. I tried turning off v-sync as suggested - it did not work. I tried running it in compatability mode for winxp sp 2 and 3 - neither worked. the constant screen flickers/strobe light effect was so annoying. So, on a hunch, i tried a fix that I have used in the past to get most all of my older games to run on a 64-bit windows operating system and suddenly the flickering is gone. Here is what i did:

1. First, you will need to download and unrar a program called DXWnd (enables windowed mode game play and other things). Here is a download link (its clean and safe) DXWnd[sourceforge.net]

2. Inside the extracted folder find and run "dxwnd.exe" as administrator. Go to "Edit->Add", in parameter "Name" set the name as Industry Giant 2.

3. In parameter "Path" choose the .exe file of the game (for me it was C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Industry Giant 2\ig2_AddOn.exe).

4. Below this, there is a section called "Generic" with several options listed. By default I believe "Run in Window" is checked. Un-check this option and place a check in the option "Fullscreen Only."

5. Below this there is a section called "Position." Make sure there is not a check in the "Keep aspect ratio" box. If there is, un-check it.

6. Now click "OK."

7. You should now see Industry Giant 2 in the lis on the main page for DXWnd. Select it by clicking with your mouse (it will be highlighted) and then go to "File->Run.

The program should now launch with your normal desktop screen resolution (for me its 1920 X 1080) and your flickering issues will be gone. You will need to start DxWnd every time before you launch the game. When you close dxwnd, answer "Yes" to save the options that you changed. This fix works for many other old games that normally have "no fix," like Robin Hood Legends of Sherwood, The Entente Gold, American Conquest, etc... Don't be afraid to try it for any other game you have display issues with.

This is a common fix seen on gog for older games and is very useful. You can also force games into windowed mode when they normally do not offer that option. Anyways, I just wanted to share this info and hope it works for all those still unable to enjoy this game. If you try it, please post your results here so others can know the results. As for me, no more flickering :happycyto:

***Also, you will still receive Steam Achievements like normal (if a game has them). And, you can enable v-sync and it will not cause the flickering to return.
