The Greegrox swarm
Considering these things are basically just space fish, does anyone else think it's weird how INSANELY powerful they are? They can run circles around pretty much any other ship in the game if you know what you're doing, and they can self-heal. Not to mention that with a full swarm, you can unleash a massive barrage of bullets that most AI enemies seem reluctant to even try to dodge.

As soon as I learned how to use these little buggers, I rarely used any other ship. I used them to take out Scryve Juggernauts with ease, the Xraki flag ships were a piece of cake as long as you keep moving, and the last boss was even made fairly trivial when you learned the patterns. There wasn't a single ship I had trouble with when using these little space fish. <3

Yeah - they are definitely my most used ship. The only enemies I had trouble with using them were the cannibals

Okay, yeah. Agreed, the Phamysht are a pain. Good thing you can avoid combat with them by feeding them a steady stream of crew.

The only ships I consistently have a problem with using Greegrox are Scryve Juggernauts, because they're a ridiculous overtuned dumpster fire of turn rate, acceleration, top speed, damage reduction and the ability to rotate while channeling their primary fire all on a ship that shouldn't remotely be that mobile for its size.

In those battles I instead answer with MuKay who can solo one pretty easily. The worst cheese deserves only the worst cheese as an answer.

There was also one really massive exotic ship that was controlled by the Harmony that I only ever saw once in Arcturus, which fired homing missiles with an infinite chase range and were faster than the default Greegrox speed and also one missile would instantly kill the entire swarm because whatever m8 good memes. In that case the flagship with point defense or phasor handled that one no problem.

Everything else is handled by the Greegrox.

Yeah those destiny missiles are op. 100% agree with your post, it's how I play the game currently.

Questions is... Should the Greegrox be nerfed? I'm honestly not sure I want them to be nerfed, but at the same time they're clearly overpowered... Maybe increase their point value? Maybe make the Greegrox swarms harder to get? Or maybe buff a bunch of the other ships that are rarely used.

The Menkmack ships could definitely do with a buff for instance. In ideal scenarios, they can do tons of damage, but those scenarios are so rare and difficult to pull off that it's not worth even trying.

Well as a simple solution - make AI less shy in going full assault VS greegrox swarms. Insetad of dodging and running - try to shoot them especially with AOE weapons.
Right now harmony cruisers are very easy to defeat using fish swarms ONLY because they turn ther backs and try to run away while I stay just a bit beyond flamethrower reach. But turn speed of those cruisers would easily allow them to ender green fog area and roat up every fish swarm in the vicinity.

Greegrox swarm have the best gameplay controls. Flying any other ship is a chore compared to the fluid control on the swarm. I don't see how long range or much any other ship is viable without cursor aiming, and inertia dampening toggles like SPAZ.
