Joh: Opens post titled, Starbase Locations.
Also Joh: Complains that it gives locations of starbases...
As for why. I have a better question: why is every solar system, planet, asteroid, worm hole, and speck of dust mapped yet no one bothered to jot down the giant, hightech, mysterious alien space stations sitting around in subspace? For that matter, why would the greys tell us they unlocked them for us but not where they are? None of the other aliens we talk to have wondered what they're for or remember seeing them?
It seems like a timesink added as an afterthought because they realized the game might be too short.
We actually have dialogue options to talk about starbases with the Tywom. Now, I can understand why the Tywom wouldn't have the locations of starbases in the upper half of the map (their ships don't come back), but they should at least have the locations of many starbases of the lower half of the map.
Also, if an enemy sees you using a starbase? Their really should be a warfleet waiting for you when you gate back to that starbase, especially if it's in the enemy's home territory.
