Cold Fusion Patent Bug
I played a game and gave cold fusion a try. I seem to have found a bug. When the acution, it took quite a long time for my buildings to convert to water usage, seemed to just suddenly switch as i was poking around trying to figure out why my power consumption was so high. all the buildings were listed in the tool tip under standard power.

After a while, when it was working properly and the buildings were listed under water tool tip.....suddenly they all switched back to power. When you build water supply for the purpose power, and the patent doesnt work, it really wrecks your economy.

it will use whichever is cheaper, water or power, when you have Cold Fusion.

Thanks for the response! great game btw. I alwayy wrongly read cold fusion as a conversion (commitment) to "water power". Clearly the way you have it work always economically benefits the player who researches it, however this route removes any possible counterplay by opposing players attacking the price of water, which is a valid design choice I suppose.

it used to be a hard choice, but attacking water price was jsut too strong. You can't attack the electrical power by dumping 100K into buying it all up, but you can with water. However that doesn't mean you can't use the water to your advantage. If you keep the price of power up fairly high, and get a monopoly on water you can really abuse teh fact that all their power money is now flowing into you

I've noticed the exact same thing.
And the water were definatly cheaper at the time.
Only seemed to stop using power when i opened the patent tab to confirm i actually had gotten the patent. when i looked back up all power use were gone.

The actual patent lab were deleted before this.
