Percentage completed on unexplored (grey) routes
Just curious what percentage most players are wanting to achieve on unexplored U.S. states map routes? I am going for 90%. I wonder if 90% explored is a pretty good common goal.

I recently got all cities discovered (including all "?"), watched all video viewpoints and photographed all photo points in all map DLCs. Currently my overall map exploration ratio is around 60 % but I see many roads grey, not only small segments, ramps, company depots and so on.

Probably I will go for 70 % to start with. I take one step at a time, as long as it is more fun than plain hard work.

I got 100% on ETS back when Scandinavia was the newest DLC (on another Steam account).

Only been playing ATS a year or so, as I waited to dive into this one until the Rocky Mountains were included. I've been debating whether to go for 100% on this too, and recently I did notice that I was 99+ in all the northern states, so for a bit of fun I finished those off. Still huge swathes of the south in grey though, and I find that less interesting to explore as the desert landscapes don't appeal to me as much, so I don't know whether I will push for it or not.

At the moment I'm not going for any percentage at all, just exploring and seeing the sights. If I were to go for any percentage then I'd go for 100, because I figure what's the point in aiming for anything less than that, may as well go big. But whether I'll bother with aiming for it in the end, idk yet.

Personally, I don't place any priority on exploration especially since there's no achievement for it. I never unlocked the 100% exploration achievement for ETS2, and as the map has grown for that game and I've restarted profiles out of boredom and wanting to try new ideas, unlocking that achievement is a futile effort.

These days the only time my discovery percentage drops below 100% (in either game) is when new content is released, either as DLC or due to reworking of older areas. It takes a lot of driving to get there mind and I'm still a little shy (99.86%) in ETS2 with the West Balkans added. Mopping up that last few percentage points can be a chore, although I've still got 40 depots to deliver to so the remaining items not directly related to those depots should be easy enough to collect on the way.

I like all the reply comments above : ) Thanks! The unexplored roads/highways is just a personal objective, so 90% seems to be a good personal goal; after that I would get too bored LOL : )

I was at 100% before Texas came out, but I just haven't been able to summon the time or the patience to fill that giant map out, so even though I have 100% in every other state, my overall map completion is just about 90% (I have 60 in Texas.)
