- when on long roads (scale 1:20), 1 in-game hour = 3 real life minutes, or 1 real life hour = 20 in-game hours
- when on cities, depots or rest stops (scale 1:3), 1 in-game hour = 20 real life minutes, or 1 real life hour = 3 in-game hours
It'd a problem if it was syncronized to system. Not only it doesn't match map scale, but most players (me included) would be driving only during the night. 😐
Wolfgang will be the closest estimate. As when I look at he clock after half an hour of play is usually 6-7 hours of game time has passed.
Real Life (6min) = In Game (1hr)
*that is driving on the interstate.
For example, if you had to stop on a rest area, had to go thru the streets of a town, or even if you're driving only on freeway but somewhere it triggers the "CITY DISCOVERED" message, all those reduce the time to 1:3 (1 real minute = 3 game minutes). When you leave those areas, you go back to 1:20 (1 real minute = 20 game minutes). That's why when you finish your job you'll have an average of 6 real minutes = 1 game hour.
EDIT: same thing goes to the reply below.
