Dont expect that to happen. SCS is still a relatively small company (I think they are 60) They have never done console games, this is not an easy port nor is it cheap

SCS CEO on a recent interview said that they are thinking about it, but it really is not happening soon.

Nope will not happen. SCS is a small company and they have never done any console ports of thier games.

All you ppl saying no cause its a small company dont really have a clue what your talking about, theres tons of small companys out there who are porting pc games to the xbox/console,

Minecraft did 4 years ago, 4J studios are a small company, even smaller back then
Farmingsim have, they are a small company
And i bet theres loads of others

Its got nothing to do with how big the company is but whether there willing ot take the gamble or not, and seems SCS just arnt willing atm

people learn to read i said VR aint gonna happen.. porting this game to current gen consoles should be straightforward, mostly a matter of money and expected sales.. i would argue lots of console players would love a pretty sim like this.

and to those morons talking about pc vs console.. a real gamer is openminded and not tied to a single plattform.

After playing ETS2 i would say that consoles dont have enough buttons on the controller to play it. Outside of that the PS4/Xbox1 would easily handle this game. Straightforward port since they are basically laptops.

EDIT: also it already works with VR.

Small devs often farm out the port to a third party that specializes in console ports. IIRC this is how Mojang ported mine craft. The down side of this as Pavel explained in his interview is that you basically have to freeze the code you hand off. So SCS could hand off v1 of ATS to a console dev. The dev is going to take several months at least to finish the port. In the mean time SCS is continuing to develop and release point updates to ATS. By the time the port releases the pc edition may be at v 1.2, v1.3 or latter while the console version would still be at v1. Keeping the code synced would be difficult.

Yea thats fine, most ports always are a few months behind the pc version, minecraft was a few years behind, i really dont see a issue with this

You're missing the fact that there's wheels to play with.

I know this is like, way late, but I agree with you on this. Personally, I prefer Playstation simply because I like the graphics, and to me it seems a bit smoother than Xbox, and I like the PS controller, but I'll still play XBox, I did enjoy playing Forza. I also did own a pc for a while.

Both console, and pc have their pros and cons, but a few of the things pc master-race believers state as the reason pc is better have already been taken away from them. Better graphics(PS 4 Pro & Xbox One X now support 4k resolution), mod support(Take Skyrim for instance. Mods are getting into both PS4 and XBox One; May not be as extensive on the pc, but it's getting there). MMOs(Both PS3 and Xbox 360 took that exclusive away from pc long ago, at least on a more extensive scale). Ya, many of pc master-race proponents are losing several talking points already.

Really? When did he change his mind from "We have no interest in consoles"?
