Uh, no? Foraging, bug catching, hunting, mining, and cooking does that, but fishing? It doesn't. At most only the hook time reduction up to 5 times.

Even if you're literally in the same party? Like, showing the map marker and everything?

The only benefit of fishing together with other players (whether in a party or random player), as stated above, is only the hook time reduction. Being in a party doesn't share the fishes you caught to your friend. I'm interested in knowing where do you get this wrong information, though.

Can you imagine the amount of wiki tips in an alternate universe telling you to fish in Palia for making money if it does, lol

Oh my land, doing the fishing for the bundles was a month long task ROTFL! 2 glow worm farms running 24 7 to pump out the tribute, it was really something else!

This game doesn't do loot sharing.
Not conventionally anyway, just got to hit the same mob/node/tree whatever, and you don't even need to be in a team for that.

As for fishing, every nearby player gets a fishing bonus when you catch something.
The bonus is nice if you want to speed up fishing a bit since it'll take quite a few throws to get something rare.

What seems to be working: Cook some sushi/sashimi, prepare tuning fork, make some fisherman's brew, and head for the coast first thing in the morning. Be there at 5:55. Use the brew, fork and sushi/sashimi (I had 100% focus at beginning), start fishing at 6 and keep slowly moving from node to node.
