Dunno if you found the fix since it's been 2 days, but sometimes it can happen. For example from time to time I get this with Killing Floor. Restarting steam should fix it.

I restarted steam, it didnt work. But I found a fix, I went into the steam files under program 86 files and renamed a file and it worked Ill try to link it in this discussion in case others have issues with this.

Yeah here it is found it, http://steamcommunity.com/app/216150/discussions/0/864973123145294892/

1. Exit Steam (fully exit, and not the X button on top right corner)
2. Go to where you installed Steam usually in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

3. Rename ClientRegistry.blob to sometthing else. ClientRegistry.blob2 for example.
4. Open Steam once again and launch the game.
I try different thinks to keep this game running aor example aReinstall the game Repair the gaame Restard Computer and the bellow one.

It dosent work what i did wrong ?
1. Closed Steam totaly
2.Change the name of the file CLientRegistry.blob to ClientRegistry.blob2 aa
3. started steam and run the game but i get every time the same error message

Maybe aaits because i use German Steam ?
I got Windows 8 aall other 22 steams games running well but this wont

Just on the off chance someone is still reads this. I have fixed this by ensuring my antivirus is not blocking access to Steam.
