the goal of this demo is to do bugfixing and balacing. fishTDX is enlisted in the June Next Fest, as I'm sure many of you know is one of the best opportunities for little devs like me to have many new eyes on their game.

However, any bugs or issues with that demo, and your reputation is permanently tainted! To ensure the game is tested and ready to go, plus give you guys an opportunity to see how it's coming along, this demo will be out until the end of April!

i will be discarding the unlock system from the previous demo in favour of an achievement-based unlock system that isn't quite finished yet

although the system was previously complete, due to big changes since the last demo it is no longer stable and not a necessity as runs are pretty short anyway

in lieu of the collections, here's some important information that will be covered there. this information will be displayed to the player as you encounter it so there's no information overload.

synergies
brittle, made with explosive and bleeding : takes extra explosive damage
infection, made with poison and bleeding : extra strong bleeding effect
zap, made with lightning and energise: shoots a ring of lightning frequently
confused, made with slow and energise: moves backwards briefly

fish
barramundi: regular ol' fish
dolphin: jumps in and out of the water
angler fish: takes bites of nearby fish to grow stronger
whale: lies underwater for ages before coming up
sardine: spawns in schools of fish
eel: temporarily deactivates nearby towers
toadfish: blows up and is temporarily invincible if it takes a lot of damage at once
swordfish: fast

elites
feet: goes over land directly to the exit
stuffed: slow, more hp, spawns sardines on death
malachite: nearby enemies are underwater until this enemy is killed

We reached 320 downloads for the demo and about 150 new wishlists! Of course a big thanks goes to Olexa for featuring the game on his channel and to all you for downloading the game, giving feedback, and proving worthy fishers!

The demo for fishTDX will be de-activated on the 4th of March to give me some time to focus less on bugfixing and optimisations and more on adding some new content for the full game.
