Only 1080P!?
Just loaded up the game to check the graphics settings before I start playing later and see that I cannot increase the resolution past 1080P and frame rate is lock to 60fps.
Oh boy, I can live with a 60fps lock but no 1440P or 4K...
Anyone else getting the same?

That's weird, I saw from PS5 version it was confirmed up to 4K?

It's a port from a console game release(switch), not surprised at all.

Dq11 had similar issues on release, but it was patched after, may happen here.

I will check it out again later but may refund and buy on PS5 if this is another botched, half arsed Unreal PC port

Just took another quick look and Lord God almighty!! You can change resolutions in "Windowed" but full screen is hard locked to 1080p

In game it's 1080 but in config file

[/script/engine.gameusersettings]

ResolutionSizeX=2560
ResolutionSizeY=1440

So no UW either, I assume?

Bravely Default PC is 720p
Shadowblades Nov 14, 2024 @ 9:36am
Dang, surprised the cap is 60 fps, unlike either Octopath games on PC.

^this. it should be more than possible to tweak it in Game\Config\Engine.ini .

Expect to see upload some basic configs uploaded to Nexus and the like soon.

without 4k and 120fps I demand a refund, I wait a few days, but then I'm out, as much as I love DQ, that's no longer possible... The last time I used 1080p was 15 years ago...

If your display scale is set to anything other than 100%, which it probably is if you're using a 4k display, you may need to manually override the scaling for the game's executable in order for it to display your full list of resolutions. This is a pretty common issue in Unreal Engine games (especially ones from Square-Enix). There's a generic guide for doing so here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-change-scaling-for-specific-apps-in-windows-11

Bravely Default did not worked. Remained 720p graphics.

Don't worry, as long as you leave all settings at default with a decent graphics card and 4K screen connected, it will default to 4K gameplay whilst displaying in settings '1080p' greyed out on fullscreen option. I can tell the game is running in 4K on my PC as both the 1070ti is currently maxed out with fans on and the ui scale of afterburner fps counter in top left corner is tiny as happens when playing at 4K. Game just needs a small patch to show this is the case in the settings.

Thx, I'll look at it again tomorrow after work, and the 120fps? Actually, it should also be possible to do something with the ue4, right?

I think
t.maxfps=120
but i'd have to check my sources.

Sometime later there will probably be a full cvar dump so we know everything that can be tweaked internally.
