Two orbs questions

1-In Theddon at night the guard will not let me pass. What do I need to get past him? 2-In ??? I need to find a merchant. Where exactly is he as the clue was east of Providence (which I have not found yet)? Any help or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

1. You need the ultimate key to open the jail door.
2. You don't need to find a merchant... you need to make one. Go back to Patty's Party Planning Place, make a level 1 merchant, put them in your party, and go back to ???.

Note that for #2 here, whatever you name your merchant will be relevant and used as a town name later.

You will also have to accomplish certain milestones to get progress, e.g. killing Orochi, to unlock more and more of the town.

I have 3 orbs and the ones at Theddon and Mamoza I cannot defeat the bosses yet so just have to level up. The orb at my town with the merchant I cannot progress there as all the merchant says is that he is going to build a cabaret. So what exactly do I have to do to progress to get the orb in my town? Thanks much.

Go for other things other than the merchant town, and it'll advance. Also find and speak to the npc's in the merchant town as that may be needed to get them to revolt against the merchant.

Have explored for awhile and nothing changed except someone in town saying about a mountaincleaver, everyone else nothing about revolt. What other things can you suggest? Thanks.

for merchant town to go on you need the other orbs first, the mountain cleaver is a weapon that alsol progress gate the vulcano wich will lead to the necrogond and its orb, you need ultimate key, mod rod, the bone, to then get to the ghost ship and do its thing so you are able to get past a certain river north of the map to get the mountain cleaver, if anything try to explore the world

Basically every time you find an orb, or majorly progress a storyline the Merchant's town progresses.

With you saying you have three I'm guessing Red (Pirates), Blue (Navel of the Earth), Purple (Japang), and need Yellow (Merchant), Silver, (Necrogond), Green (Theddon).

Ok if you're having trouble with those two bosses then look into DIemonds, different cities will sell them for 800. They will be destroyed instead of the character holding them dying to Whack/Thwack. If you put 2 or 3 on each that helps take down the Green orb easier.

Besides Diemonds to survive Whack/Thwack there are accessories which can also help but I am not sure you will get the specific one that helps with that at that stage of the game.

Good stuff, I'll give it a go.

Just be sure to be fighting all random battles so you can level up. Don't be skipping them.

Also use Boomerangs to make short work of the Green Orb boss enemies. Go buy Swallowtails from the Persistence town. Best Boomerangs you can get up to that point.

Boomerangs also make all random battles SUPER easy! So you'll want to be using nothing but them anyway. The only time you should ever unequip Boomerangs or Whips is against single target bosses.

Also Also, the enemies in that Green Orb fight are all very weak to the Lightning Element, so use your Zap type spells and Abilities with the Hero!

I had just learned Kazap w my Hero when I fought this battle & one casting of it nearly wiped the entire field in one turn! That combined w Boomerang attacks It wiped the smaller guys & left the others very weak. Fight was pathetically easy after that.

Also, like someone else said, have plenty of Diamends in your inventory if you're struggling against the insta death spells.
